Greetings from La Jolla
Hi guys,
I was able to finish the inks and colors on this collaboration piece with Steven E Gordon right before my pc crashed. Luckily I was also smart enough to back up all files :P
Anyhow, here's the final piece in its entirity. Hope you guys dig it.
I am working on another jam piece with Steve, so stay tuned for more :)

SCALPED: High Lonesome TPB
High Lonesome, the 5th chapter of Jason Aaron's and RM Guera's beutiful noir book "SCALPED", comes out today in the stores. Those of you that follow this blog, now that I was kindly asked to be a guest artist on issue 27, telling the back story of FBI Agent Baylis E. Nitz.
To celebrate the trade (and just because I LOVE drawing me some SCALPED ;)) I did this pinup. It was supposed to be a quick sketch but it got a little out of my hands (as usual happens ;)).
Ok, now close the computer and go buy Vertigo's "High Lonesome" :)
Cheers,
Francesco

GEN 13: Caitlin Fairchild
Every now and then I like to ink someone else pencils, and when that someone else is a really good friend like Steve Gordon (check his website in the link list on the right) then the fun is doubled! :D
After a Batman and a Superman already in our collaboration can, now it's the turn to give some love to the GEN 13 team of young superheroes. To start: Caitlin Fairchild, a very strong young lady indeed :)
More on the way.
Cheers,
Francesco

The Vampire Book
A few months back I was asked by Dorling Kindersley to provide 9 illos about specific vampires from all around the world, and this is one of those. I am showing all the process above (click on the illo for larger view), from rough to color (actually they needed just the b/w inks, the colors are something I added later for fun Wink) for those who like to take a peek at the making of.
Hope you guys dig it.
The book is "The Vampire Book", hardcover, 96 pages packed with tons of photos and illos, and it's available on the DK website (among other bookstores and online places). I just got my comps and it looks awesome! :)
Cheers,
Francesco
