Celebrating the Winter Olympics going on in Vancouver these days, I decided to freshen up and add some colors to this Super Olympics series I did during the last Winter Olympics.
Planning to add some new pieces as well, so to have a recurring tradition and increase the gallery each time :)
To start, Silver Surfer snowboarding on GALACTACUS :)

Batman Vs The Duck Squadron!

Batman Vs The Duck Squadron
(click on it for CLOSUPARAMA view ;))

Alright, we KNOW you WANT to read this story, right? ;)
Paul Tobin and I are collecting signatures for make this happen: I have been told that 50,000 signatures would be enough to convince DC Comics to give us the green light. ;)
So, sign in and leave your name here below this post and tell to your friends and family. Only 50,000, c'mon, we can make this dream tale happen :D ;)

EDIT!!! Wow, I wasn't expecting this kinda of response! :) Thank you, everyone, I almost feel I have to draw the first page if we get to 100 signatures already... ;)

Cheers,
Francesco

CyGirl

CyGirl

This is my contribution to the "Monsters & Dames" Charity Artbook 2010 the fine folks put out every year for ECCC.
And since I don't remember if I announced it yet, let me make it more official: I will be attending the EMERALD CITY COMIC CON as a guest this year - it's my first time at ECCC and in Seattle so I am really looking forward to it :)

In other news, the Twitter jam I was partecipating to (RONIN) turned out in a Comic jam art blog, called Comic Twart. So far there are 15 of us who will jam on a specific character each week (this week the topic was ZORRO).
Feel free to check it out: some good stuff in there :)

Cheers,
Francesco

Charlotte MiniCon 2010

CHarlotte Mini Con 2010

Hello everyone! :D
Sorry for the lack of posts but I have been cut out of the Internet (service) for the last week. Thankfully everything is back to normal (and I hope I am not gonna experience another web withdrawal for the next 5 years... at least! ;)

Anyhow I wanted to share this news right away with you all due to the short turnaround (or notice). I have been invited by the good friends of Heroes Aren't Hard To Find (the organizers of the wonderful HeroesCon) to be featured guest at their one day show Charlotte MiniCon this coming January 23rd and I enthusiastically accepted the invitation (as I love them and I always welcome chances to interact with friends and fans).
Above you see a little poster I quickly put together yesterday that will give you all the info you need. You can read more details about the show on their blog too.
Hope to see some of you there, if you live in the area or are close by Charlotte.

I will keep you updated on other upcoming shows I will be attending (East and West Coast) soon.
Meanwhile let me wish you all the best for this 2010! :)

Cheers,
Francesco

Dr Who: The Water of Mars

Guess what I watched on TV last night ;)
What a wonderful Dr Who episode and another stunning performance by David Tennant! I HAD to draw this (see below) while watching the show and later I threw some digi color on it. (above)
Hope you guys dig it.

Tabatha Taking Over...

Tabatha Taking Over

I was working on some zorro layouts last night and watching TV and Tabatha was on with her new season on BRAVO (kinda "Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares" but with salons), and I couldn't help to draw her: she has such a characteristic face :)
So she took over my layouts... and the salon she had to fix ;)

Caricatures is a kinda new territory for me so I hope you dig it the same.

Cheers,
Francesco

Edit: here's a colored (and slightly revised) version:
